The two nuts and clamp need removal before installation where tightening will reach 48 Nm or 35 ft. lbs. torque. A proper exhaust cutter should be used for cutting the muffler free from the tailpipe. Inspect the isolators for wear before making a necessary replacement and detach the isolator to remove the tailpipe. Perform the same operation for the muffler by inspecting its isolator for possible replacement. Before fastening the new exhaust components, leave the fasteners loose until the system reaches full assembly. After properly tightening and loosening fasteners per specification users should finish by torquing them up to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
