The service starts with removing the door latch rod retainer followed by detaching the front door latch actuating rod and then removing the front door latch control cylinder rod from the door lock cylinder through the sequence of taking out the spring clip preceding the door lock cylinder release from the door handle until finally separating it from the front door latch control rod. Completel the instructions to remove the screws which allows you to take out your front door latch. The latch actuating rod must remain without preloading during installation it needs to keep its relaxed state without any slack. Fitting the lock requires performing the uninstallation steps in reverse order.
