To proceed with servicing the piston start by removing the piston pin followed by separating the connecting rod from the piston. When assembling the product the identification markings on the connecting rod should face forward before inserting the rod into the piston. The installation requires clean engine oil for lubricating both the piston pin and its retainers before adding the pin between them.
