2006 Lincoln Zephyr Oil Pressure Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Oil Pressure Switch on 2006 Lincoln Zephyr?
A: You should place the vehicle on a hoist with neutral transmission to service the oil pressure switch. Remove the 7 screws from the underbody cover if such component exists. Clean engine oil must be applied to the gasket of the engine oil filter before its removal. It is important to tighten the filter to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.) after removal then rotate it another 180 degrees. To begin service on the oil pressure switch, disconnect both its electrical connector then remove its physical installation. Tighten the new oil pressure switch up to 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.) while applying Teflon pipe sealant to its threads. The reverse steps of removal should be followed to conclude the installation process.
