    A: The first step to service the fuel level sensor requires removing the fuel tank from its position. The FP module harness must be disconnected from the FTP sensor electrical connector while releasing its two wiring harness retainers. The service technician must clean the mounting flange of the FP module as well as adjacent parts to eliminate all foreign materials and debris. The float arm and filter need careful handling of the fuel pump module before removing the bolts that secure it in place. The bolt fastener strength should reach 10 Nm (89 lb-in) during installation.
