How to service the rear door power window motor on 2009 Ford Crown Victoria?

A successful rear door window motor service requires the window glass to be positioned fully up before securing it with tape. The first step requires removing the rear door trim panel after which you must extract two rivets along with the pull handle retainer bracket. Following proper placement of the water shield connect the electrical connecting cable of the rear door window regulator motor. When removing the two rear door window regulator rivets you should be cautious about enlarging the holes in the door inner panel. You should work through the access hole to disconnect the window regulator motor bracket from the inner panel while moving the motor backward in order to reach and remove the three rear door window regulator motor bolts. Installation should be finalized by tighting these bolts to 6 Nm (53 lb-in). Remove the window regulator motor from the rear door by detaching it from both the window regulator assembly. The new rivets can be installed using a Heavy Duty Riveter once the Installer completes the installation procedure in reverse order.
