Ford Crown Victoria Radiator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the radiator on Ford Crown Victoria?
A: A service or repair operation on the radiator must start by disabling any fire suppression system that exists. The first service step requires removing the cooling fan assembly together with the shroud before using pin-type retainers to detach the radiator sight shield. Lower the radiator hose from its location then place it separately. You need to remove the two support brackets by unfastening their bolts before squeezing them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) torque when reinstalling them. Follow this step by removing the bolt then safely relocate the A/C Condenser and Power Steering Cooler from the radiator space before taking out the radiator hardware while tightening to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) when reinstalling the parts. You should repower fire suppression after your completion of removal work. Reusing hose clamps is prohibited thus worm-style clamps need to replace constant tension clamps as new flocking components. For completion finish the installation by following the reverse removal steps while performing cooling system fill-up and bleeding.
