How to Service and Repair the Trunk Latch on Ford Crown Victoria?

In order to fix the luggage compartment lid latch, unplug the electrical connector and lock cylinder cable. Take away the bolts and the latch. Installation of the new latch requires tightening of the bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb-in) and following reverse procedure to fit the latch.
