How to service and repair the Instrument Cluster fuel gauge on Ford Escort?

In order to repair the fuel gauge, remove the five screws of the instrument cluster mask, and then remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge without displaced of the needle. Take off the fuel gauge, speedometer, tachometer, detach the gauge amplifier, and take out the contact clips. Lastly, take off the printed circuit and follow the same steps in assembling.

To fix the temperature gauge, loosen 5 screws of the mask of the instrument cluster, and then loosen the mask of Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge, without moving the needle. Uncouple gauge amplifier, pull out miniature bulbs and pull out gauge contact clips. Lastly, de-assemble by removing the printed circuit, and assembling in reverse.
