How to Properly Maintain the Dome Light in a Lincoln Town Car?

Services on the dome lamp require users to disconnect the ground connection from the battery first. Start the service on the lamp cover assembly through downward pulling action. Place the overhead dome/map lamp assembly by the side and release its retaining tabs before placing the whole assembly to the side. The overhead dome/map lamp assembly can be fully removed after disconnecting the lamp switch electrical connector and removing the visor receptacles. The installation process should follow the opposite sequence to removal procedures. When reconnecting the battery after removal the vehicle will need to drive at least 16 km (10 mi) because it needs time to relearn its adaptive strategy before showing normal drive behavior.
