Lower Control Arm, Front Driver Side

Begin your front control arm service work by lifting and stabilizing the vehicle with its wheels and tires attached. To disengage the stabilizer bar step by step you must unscrew the front nut of the bar followed by the bar end bolt and retainer. Additionally separate and remove each of the bushings from either side of the front bar as well as the bar spacer and bottom bar retainer. Unbolt the front suspension lower ball joint from the front knuckle and eliminate the front suspension lower arm pivot bolt plus all lower arm bolts to remove it. Officials should always replace fasteners after freeing the existing ones before fastening the suspension lower arm bushings at the front and rear during initial assembly. Threadlock 262 E2FZ-19544-B meeting Ford WSK-M2G351-A6 specification must be applied to ball joint nut and pinch bolt threads before mounting the suspension lower arm with its components using the specified tools and fasteners. To set the suspension lower arm straight up from the ground mount a High Lift Trans Jack under it. After this place the bolts on front suspension lower arm in a specific order and tighten the front suspension lower arm pivot bolt. Put the lower and upper front stabilizer bar parts on the front subframe followed by the front stabilizer bar spacer and upper retainer. Install bolt and nut later before tightening the front stabilizer bar link nuts to the specified threads. Affix the stabilizer bar link nuts right until 17 to 19 mm (0.67 to 0.75 inch) of thread remains outside the hardware. Put the wheel and tire back onto position and place the lug nuts. Then lower the vehicle before tightening the lug nuts.

Check the rear alignment and adjust as necessary.
