Stabilizer Bar, Rear

Before servicing or repairing the rear sway bar kit, the suspension system must be set to design height to avoid injuries. The service requires unscrewing both sides of the sway bar kit from the rear lower arm, followed by unclamping the sway bar kit with bolt removal and subsequent elimination of the clamps and sway bar kit and bushing removal. The installation procedure requires placing sway bar kit bushings correctly onto the bar with lubricant removed while keeping the bushing nipple positioned on the left-hand side. Apply water on the clamps after positioning bushings onto the sway bar kit before pressing the clamps against the bushings on both sides. Both sway bar kit assemblies need to be installed, after which they must be mounted to the lower arm. Lower the suspension to the design height setting while you install the spring and fasten the rear wheel.

Install the bushings onto the stabilizer bar, then place the stabilizer bar clamps onto the bar, applying water to the clamps to facilitate installation.

Discard the stabilizer bar bracket bolts.

Correctly position the stabilizer bar bushings on the stabilizer bar without any lubricant, ensuring the bushing nipple is on the left-hand side.
