Throttle Body

Service of the throttle body requires first and foremost that you establish an open area around fuel components to avoid ignition sources when dealing with high flammability mixtures. The service begins by disconnecting the ground cable of the battery and removing the air cleaner outlet tube. The first step entails disconnecting electrical connections of both throttle position (TP) sensor and idle air control (IAC) sensor. First remove the accelerator control splash shield following the disconnect of all three accelerator controls that consist of the accelerator cable and speed control cable with the return spring. The old throttle body gasket should be thrown away after removing the throttle body. Put a new gasket on the new throttle body while carrying out the installation with an inverse sequence of removal steps.

The first step for servicing or repairing the throttle body requires removal of the air cleaner outlet tube. Start by disbanding electrical wires from the Throttle Position (TP) sensor and Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor before removing the accelerator control substances including the accelerator cable and speed control cable and return spring. The four throttle body mounting bolts should be removed to separate the throttle body along with disposal of the old gasket. Rephrase the installation steps by reversing the removal sequence while using a new throttle body gasket. Use extra care since cleaning the throttle body plate is not possible and complete avoidance of smoking open flames applies near fuel parts due to dangerous flammable mixtures.
