Condenser

A leak test must happen before A/C condenser removal as a first step of repair work. Service and repair of the A/C condenser starts with battery disconnection. The service begins with executing the necessary steps of Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure. Start by extracting the bolts which detach the battery tray after you remove the radiator sight shield by unfastening its pin-type retainers. Start by unfastening the bracket along with the bottle using bolts and proceed to separate the cooling fan electrical connector before putting the harness off to the side. Work on disconnecting lines by unscrewing their nuts then you can take out the radiator brackets after freeing the bolts. The radiator needs to be positioned in the back before removing the four pin-type retainers from the walls. Once the retainers are gone reposition the wiring harness towards the rear. Unfasten the condenser bolts after which extract the condenser core. Reverse the removal steps while installing the A/C condenser by adding 30 ml (1 oz.) of PAG Compressor Oil, YN-12c, F7AZ-19589-DA or a suitable oil that fulfills Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. When lubricating the O-ring seal you should use the same PAG Compressor Oil.

Before removing the A/C condenser core for maintenance, test it for leaks when signs of leakage are present. The first step includes disconnection of the battery followed by removing the battery while recovering the refrigerant. Proceed by unscrewing battery tray bolts before taking off the radiator sight shield then detach the pin-type retainers and shield assembly. The bolt operation should be followed by bracket elimination and bottle removal. Move the electrical connection of the cooling fan to a safe area before placing the harness in that location. Use bolts and lines disconnectors along with bolts to separate the radiator brackets until all brackets and bolts are taken out. After positioning the radiator to the rear users must start by removing four pin-type retainers before moving the wiring harness in the same direction. The procedure ends by taking out the condenser core after removing all condenser bolts. The installation process reverses the removal steps while you add 30 ml (1 oz.) of PAG Compressor Oil, YN-12c, F7AZ-19589-DA or an equivalent which fulfills Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B to the A/C condenser. You should then lubricate the O-ring seal using the same oil.

Reverse the removal steps, ensuring to install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil and lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.

Remove the nuts and disconnect the lines, followed by the removal of the radiator brackets and their bolts.

Remove the bolts and radiator brackets, position the radiator rearward, remove the pin-type retainers, position the wiring harness rearward, and finally remove the condenser bolts to take out the condenser core.
