Starting brake master cylinder repair requires only approved DOT 4 or DOT 3 brake fluid because any other fluid choice will lead to permanent damage and brake failure. Brake fluid requires proper attention because it includes polyglycol ethers and polyglycols thus employees should prevent eye contact and perform complete hand washing after contact. Eyes require immediate water flushing for 15 minutes during exposure and professional medical help should be sought if pain persists. Ingestion of brake fluid requires victims to consume water followed by vomiting induction before receiving urgent medical care. Brake fluid poses a risk to painted or plastic surfaces therefore wash spills right away with water. The fluid level sensor connector needs to be disconnected first before removing the vapor management valve (VMV) nuts and VMV hose with the valve set aside for later use. The brake tubes need to be disconnected then the brake master cylinder IVD solenoid electrical connector should be removed whenever applicable. First remove the brake master cylinder nuts then unclip the fuel line along with the vapor management hose from the fastener before moving them aside and taking out the brake master cylinder. To install the components reverse the uninstallation procedure and perform brake system bleeding afterward.

Disconnect the fluid level sensor connector.

Remove the hose at the clutch master cylinder reservoir.
