The service process starts with unfastening both sides of roof opening glass and water trough by removing the screws and continues with sunroof or moonroof windguard disassembly. The roof sliding panel opening shield can be released by moving it forward and lifting its center gently while the track is disengaged. The roof sliding panel opening shield requires flexing its center to feed its front and rear tabs into their track during installation. Secure the water trough beneath the side tabs by installing the screws and then reinstall the roof opening glass.

Release the water trough by first extracting screws from each side then drawing it free from its position. The next step is to move forward the roof sliding panel opening shield before you bend the center part upward to untie it from its track. You can install the roof sliding panel opening shield by raising its center while inserting the front and rear tabs into the track. The installation of the water trough proceeds by positioning it beneath each side tab followed by screw attachment on both sides. Reinstallation of roof opening glass is a necessary step to complete the process.
