Inlet Pipe

The first task to service the exhaust pipe includes lifting and supporting the vehicle. You can uninstall the inlet pipe-to-muffler clamp through complete removal of clamp nuts and clamp. Heating the junction of the inlet pipe and muffler may become essential to complete pipe removal. The process to detach the production muffler and tailpipe assembly begins by cutting the tailpipe over the axle and then removing the assembly by separating it from the exhaust hanger insulator. Warmup treatment also becomes vital during the installation phase for joining the inlet with the muffler. Positioning the muffler and tailpipe assembly requires using no oil or grease-based lubricants on insulators because they will cause rubber deterioration. A mixture of soap and water makes the process of fitting the muffler hangers into the rubber insulators much more manageable. The exhaust hanger insulators should be mounted before the tailpipe can be placed in the exhaust hanger insulator. You should join the muffler with the inlet pipe then position the clamp before fastening the nuts. Announce the installation of muffler-to-tailpipe gasket as well as nuts for a proper completion of the process and then lower the vehicle.
