The service process for wheel hub and wheel bearing elements begins when the vehicle is placed in NEUTRAL gear on a hoist. Dangerous damage occurs when you suspend the caliper and anchor plate assembly from the brake hose. Accomplish bolt removal of the anchor plate while carefully setting the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly to one side with mechanic's wire as support. The necessary bolt torque for anchor plate reinstallation should measure 133 Nm at 98 ft. lbs. The next task involves separating the brake disc before discarding the wheel hub grease cap. A new wheel hub nut needs to replace the original because the old nut serves its purpose only once so any control issues during driving can be avoided. You must replace the discarded wheel hub nut with a new one before tightening it to 300 Nm (221 ft. lbs). The removal process should proceed by extracting the front wheel bearing and hub assembly before performing the opposite installation steps for assembly. New parts must have identical part numbers or equivalent specifications whenever possible while torque values from the specifications should be followed for suspension component assembly.
