You must begin service and repair operations on fuel injectors by detaching the battery cable and evacuating fuel pressure. First remove the upper intake manifold and disconnect the six fuel injector electrical connectors with the fuel supply tube spring lock coupling. The service starts with removing the fuel rail bolts until the entire fuel rail and fuel injector assembly can be taken out and ends in discarding the six fuel injector O-ring seals. You should apply clean engine oil to new O-ring seals before putting them onto the fuel injectors prior to mounting the injectors onto their respective fuel rail positions. After assembling the fuel rail together with the fuel injectors mount them back onto the engine while tightening the four bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The fuel supply tube spring lock coupling along with six fuel injector electrical connectors should be installed and the upper intake manifold returned before reconnecting the battery ground cable.

The servicing process of fuel injectors starts by disconnecting the battery ground cable followed by releasing the fuel pressure. First disconnect the upper intake manifold after which you should remove the six electrical connectors for fuel injectors. Remove the fuel rail by disassembling it along with its fuel injectors as an assembly after first disconnecting the fuel supply tube spring lock coupling and then removing the four fuel rail bolts. The six fuel injectors must come off from the fuel rail before throwing out the old O-ring seals. The new O-ring seals need engine oil lubrication before being installed onto the fuel injectors prior to reattaching them to the fuel rail. The fuel rail assembly with fuel injectors should return to its position before securing it in place using four bolts that require 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque. The procedure ends with refitting the fuel supply tube spring lock coupling followed by reconnection of six fuel injector electric cables and finally positioning both the upper intake manifold and reconnecting the battery ground cable.
