Service of the windshield wiper motor requires starting with wiper arm removal followed by plastic cover lift until the nuts become accessible when the wiper motor remains stationary in park position. You need to start by opening the hood then take out the cowl grille after unfastening the screw covers and bolts and weatherseal while disconnecting the cowl grille from the rear side. Remove the wiper motor assembly while removing its linkage alongside and detach the wiper motor electrical connector. Secure and note the position of wiper crank (1) prior to taking out its nut (2) and detach it by performing upward and downward motions before removing the bolts. The installation process should follow the exact opposite steps of the uninstallation sequence.

Start servicing the windshield wiper motor by taking off the wiper arms followed by the plastic covers to reach the nuts while properly positioning the wiper motor into park mode. Start by opening the hood to remove the cowl grille through the process of screw cover removal and bolt and weatherseal detachment followed by disconnecting the back of the cowl grille. Wiper motor service begins with eliminating the wiper motor and linkage while cutting the electrical connector loose. Mark the wiper crank position (1) first then remove nut (2) before detaching the wiper crank by performing up-down movement. Finally, remove the bolts. Install the device by performing the steps in reverse order to removal.

Take care not to damage the sealing ring for the wiper.

Open the hood and remove the cowl grille by taking off the screw covers, bolts, and weatherseal, then disconnect the cowl grille at the rear.

Ensure that bolts longer than 8 mm are not used, as they will damage the liftgate.
