The process for servicing the rear door window motor and regulator starts with removing the rear door trim panel together with watershield and interior weather strip. The next step is connecting the battery to the window control switch electrical connector after which you can use the switch to position the rear door window glass for accessing the retainer. Secure the fully raised glass in place manually while you remove the four bolts from the rear door inner module assembly before torquing the bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) upon installation. Following the removal of the electrical connector you can set the rear door inner module assembly to one side for backend window regulator exposure. The installation of new rear door window regulator nuts requires torque to reach 10 Nm (89 lb-in). To execute the replacement disconnect the electrical wires at the regulator motor then extract the rear door window regulator unit from its position. The rear door window regulator motor requires three screws removal but you should tighten it to 3 Nm (27 lb-in) during reinstallation. Reinstall the outer and center parts of the retainer pin into the rear door window glass before attaching it to the regulator while verifying equal protrusion on both sides. Perform the reverse procedure to installation by ensuring that the retainer pin secures into place within the rear door window glass. Trigger the rear door window regulator to reach maximum upward position until you hear an audible sound that indicates pin retention before checking the rear door glass operation.

The front windows will move to the full open position.

Disconnect the door lock cylinder actuating rod, open the clip to disconnect the exterior door handle actuator rod, and if equipped, disconnect the door lock cylinder switch electrical connector.
