Cushion service of the second-row 40 percent seat requires starting with the seat removal process. To service power-fold seats you should first release the clip and detach the strut and hook-and-loop strips connecting the cushion trim cover. To service the second-row, 40 percent seat cushion cover begin by positioning manual-fold seats in the E-Z entry position. You need to free the J-clips both inside and out which secure the rear section of the cushion trim cover among all seat styles. Users can detach manual-fold seat cushion trim cover from flex mat by extracting the four cushion trim cover retainers found beneath the second flex mat wire which must be removed from third flex mat wire. To replace the cushion trim cover retainer of power-fold seats you must detach it from the outboard and inboard cushion frame by pulling out the retainer between the seat track and cushion frame. When the inboard seat-to-floor latch is manually locked the backrest should be raised before removing the cushion trim cover from the foam pad. When possible use the seat track adjust handle as a passageway to push the bottom trim cover flap and then remove the hog rings. The rear flap of the cushion trim cover needs to be gently directed between the cushion and backrest. The installation process should be the reverse order of removal while verifying that the lower anchor and tether for children wires at the rear of the cushion frame remain accessible through the cushion trim cover.

Release 2 tabs on each head restraint guide and remove them.
