Washer Reservoir

Service and repair of the windshield washer reservoir requires disconnection of the air compressor first. The service starts by removing the bolt and nut then positioning the coolant reservoir to the side while keeping in mind that the power steering reservoir is being shown without its reservoir for better clarity purposes. Proceed by removing the upper washer reservoir bolt while following it with the removal of the lower washer reservoir bolts. Begin by lifting the automobile followed by removing the right-hand front splash shield by unscrewing and pulling out its pushpins and screws. Detach the washer hose from the pump while being cautious of the poisonous methanol that exists in windshield washer solution by following the warnings on the container label. Before installation completely detach the washer reservoir by unplugging electrical cables then extracting the reservoir. The installer must undo all procedures associated with removal in order to reconstruct the components.

A correct procedure to access the windshield washer reservoir includes following steps from Electronic Level Control to remove the air compressor. Remove the bolt and nut while positioning the coolant reservoir aside keeping in mind that the power steering reservoir was already detached for better visualization. Remove the washer reservoir bolt at the upper position immediately followed by the removal of the lower position bolts. Raising and stabilizing the vehicle execute front splash shield removal by pulling out pushpins and screws from the right-hand front position. You need to disconnect the washer hose from the washer pump while paying attention to the windshield washer solution containing methanol which is poisonous according to the warnings indicated on the washer solution container label. Disembark the washer reservoir by disconnecting power connections followed by extracting the reservoir from its position. Install the components by reversing the steps used for removal.
