A proper start for repairing and servicing the seat cover involves exposing the attaching strap by first unstitching the backrest trim cover lower J-clips but also removing both the pivot bolt cover and screw. Start the process by taking out the lower panel and removing pin-type retainers before you can access the backrest by releasing the cushion trim cover rear J-clip while having the backrest in a downward position. Pull out both parts of the cushion trim cover rear flap along with its J-clip between the cushion and backrest. Use proper caution when removing the cushion foam pad and trim cover by not separating the hook-and-loop strip from the seat cushion foam. To remove the cushion trim cover it is necessary to invert the cover and then remove the hog rings which are followed by extracting the trim cover. The installation processes end when you follow the steps of reattachment in reverse order.

Remove these hog rings to detach the trim cover completely.

Carefully pinch the head restraint guide ends to release and remove the two guides, separating them from the backrest trim cover.

Reach into the backrest to squeeze the head restraint guide ends together to release and pull out the two head restraint guides, being cautious not to tear the hook-and-loop strip from the backrest foam pad.
