You must push both the rubber grommet and transmission shift cable through the bulkhead before rising and supporting the vehicle. The automatic transmission shift cable along with its bracket requires removal by strategically detaching connections from the manual control lever and shift actuator cable fitting on the way to transmission shift cable bracket detachment. End the process by removing bolts securing the transmission shift cable bracket then proceeding to take out the bracket itself from the transmission. Reinstallation involves the opposite steps of removal alongside the use of new shift actuator cable fittings for the transmission selector lever arm and support and transmission shift cable bracket.
