Coil Spring, Front

You need to service and repair the coil spring by first securing the vehicle through lifting and supporting then disassembling both the front wheel and tire. The shock absorber removal process requires first undoing the lower mounting bolts after which you should remove the nut and the retainer and the grommet. Homebuilt technicians must use a Coil Spring Compressor to compress the front coil spring until it reaches its position in the front spring insulator. The bolts need removal before the front coil spring can be extracted by pivoting the front suspension lower arm upward. To install the shock absorber position it into the vehicle with the compressed front coil spring but avoid clamping the front suspension lower arm bolts until the vehicle touches the ground when suspension supports vehicle weight. Position the front suspension lower arm for installation while simultaneously fixing it using bolts and nuts until removing the Coil Spring Compressor. Position the shock absorber through the upper shock mount before adding the grommet and retainer along with a nut that requires tightening. The procedure continues with shock absorber lower mounting bolt installation then you can reattach front wheel assemblies and tire components after lowering the vehicle down to complete the process by tightening front suspension lower arm bolts.

Position the compressed front coil spring into the vehicle, ensuring not to tighten the front suspension lower arm bolts until the vehicle is lowered to the ground and the suspension is supporting its weight.
