Start the condenser to evaporator line servicing operation by recovering all refrigerant from the system. The evaporator core spring lock coupling needs to be detached first before discarding the O-ring seals. After disconnecting the condenser core line you should remove the component together with the accompanying O-ring seal. The installation process starts by performing the opposite steps of removal while applying clean mineral oil to new O-ring seals before installation. The correct amount of clean PAG refrigerant compressor oil needs to be used to lubricate the refrigerant system with F7AZ-19D589-DA (motorcraft YN-12-C) or WSH-M1C231-B equivalent that meets Ford specification. The refrigerant system requires evacuation followed by a leak check and two subsequent recharging the system. You must replace the suction accumulator only when contamination from a faulty A/C compressor or any damage to the accumulator occurs. Workers should use F73Z-19577-AA (Motorcraft YN-9-A) for lubricating R-134a refrigerant system O-ring seals yet must avoid adding this chemical to the refrigerant system as an A/C compressor lubricant.

Begin by performing the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.

Finally, evacuate, leak test, and charge the refrigerant system.

Proceed to remove the compressor manifold and tube assembly, and if necessary, disconnect the suction accumulator outlet fitting, discarding the O-ring seals.

Disconnect the line from the condenser core and remove it, also discarding the O-ring seal.

Disconnect the suction accumulator outlet fitting and discard the O-ring seals.

Disconnect the pressure cutoff switch electrical connector and the fuel line spring lock coupling.

Begin by recovering the refrigerant.

Evacuate, leak test, and charge the refrigerant system.
