The process to service and repair coolant line and hose requires starting with draining the engine cooling system first. The coolant hoses must be disconnected from both the water bypass tube and the generator wiring harness positioning clip. Start by disconnecting the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector before removing the bolts and nuts which mount the generator bracket. After removing the nuts from the bypass tube you should eliminate it. New O-ring seals need a non-petroleum based lubricant for cleaning the sealing surfaces before their installation. The installation process ends with performing the reverse steps of removal.

Drainage of the engine cooling system needs to occur before servicing the coolant line and bypass tube. The service of the coolant bypass tube starts by disconnecting coolant hoses from both the water bypass tube and the generator wiring harness positioning clip. Disassemble both bolts and nuts on the generator mounting bracket before separating the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor connector. First remove the bypass tube after unfastening its nuts. Apply the non-petroleum based lubricant on the new O-ring seals after cleaning their sealing surfaces before installation. The installation ends with the opposite steps used during removal.
