The windshield resealing process requires the removal of cowl panel grille and overhead console if installing such components. Detach first the LH and RH front door weather strips before removing the LH and RH A-pillar trim panels and the sun visors accompanied by their retaining clips. Lower the front mid-section of the headliner partially before supporting this region with proper material. Clear the existing urethane adhesive edge along the glass on windshield interiors at the top and sides as well as the exterior at the bottom using glass cleaner. Use the specified length of urethane adhesive applicator tip together with a high-ratio caulk gun operated by electricity or batteries to spread the urethane adhesive properly while creating one continuous glue line free from any openings. Apply a continuous urethane adhesive adhesive bead from inside the windshield top and sides and from the exterior on its bottom edge. The urethane adhesive needs at least one hour of curing time before leak inspections; additional adhesive should be added if leaks appear. Reposition the cured front part of the headliner while reinstalling the left hand (LH) and right hand (RH) sun visor clips combined with both A-pillar trim panels and front door weather strips on their respective sides. Reinstall the overhead console followed by the cowl panel grille when applying to the process.

Start the windshield servicing or repair process by taking off the cowl panel grille followed by the interior rear view mirror along with the instrument panel defroster opening grille. First disconnect electrical connectors then remove part of the front door weather strips before extracting the LH and RH A-pillar trim panels along with their attached LH and RH sun visors and clip components. Proceed by lowering the front portion of the headliner and use either an oil-free compressed air stream or a clean shop towel to clear dirt away from the windshield pinch weld area. Distabllish the windscreen glass from the body by operating The Pumper and cut remaining urethane adhesive before you can delicately remove the glass pane and position it on a firm work space. The new windshield glass should be positioned on the urethane adhesive bead according to existing lines before centering it within the opening and making changes to stop blocks if required. Linleshoot the windshield glass for position against the body before removing it to position flat on a stable surface with its interior facing upwards. It is essential to fix any pinch weld corrosion as this structure needs attention before the spray foam installation. Protect the pinch weld from scratches throughout the process. The pinch weld area needs thorough cleaning after which you should clean any old urethane adhesive from the site before applying new adhesive. Sitting should start from the top center V notch position in the ceramic paint while seating the windshield moulding evenly against the glass border. Apply glass primer on the windshield glass after cleaning it with glass cleaner following manufacturer directions and wait for the primer to dry for at minimum 6 minutes. Cut the urethane adhesive applicator tip according to specification before applying adhesive to the trimmed bead while avoiding gaps. Drive caution because the manufacturer requires you to wait until the urethane adhesive seal completes its curing according to the specified directions. Before placing the windshield glass open vehicle windows to reduce air pressure that affects adhesive bonding then position it according to previous marks. The urethane adhesive must cure for at least one hour until a full air and water leak test is conducted. Additional adhesive may be needed during testing. To complete the repair install the front headliner part and its sun visors with clips and LH and RH A-pillar trim panels together with front door weather strips and an instrument panel defroster opening grille while reconnecting electrical connectors and installing the interior rear view mirror before finishing by putting on the cowl panel grille.
