ABS Control Module Installation and Repair Tips for 2001 Lincoln Continental

  • Q: How to bleed the brake system after replacing the ABS Control Module on 2001 Lincoln Continental?
A: In order to bleed the brake system, after changing the 4WABS HCU, remove the master cylinder cap and fill the master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid. Hook a waste line to the rear bleeder screw on the RH, loosen and re-tighten when fluid has passed. This is to be repeated with all bleeder screws and finally it is done by a scan tool.
