- Q: How to service the front door jamb switch on 2006 Ford Freestar?A: In order to service the front door ajar switch, take off the front door trim panel and three latch bolts (tighten to 9 Nm when reattached). Remove exterior handle and lock cylinder rods. Get to the switch, and disconnect its electrical connector, then lift the locking tab, and turn the switch counterclockwise and remove. Reverse for installation.
