    A: A control arm service and repair in the rear suspension requires you to start with wheel and tire assembly removal by performing lug nut removal. A floor jack stand needs to be placed underneath the rear floor cross member. The service starts with removing the rear stabilizer bar link through successive uninstallation of the rear stabilizer bar end nut followed by the rear stabilizer bar end bolt and finally the retainer. Service the rear stabilizer bar end bushings and retainer spacer by doing away with upper and lower bushings and the retainer piece. The installation requires you to take off four bolts installed in the rear floor cross member before lowering the cross member. To separate the rear suspension arm and bushing you must first remove the front nut of both components before proceeding with the front bolt of the same components. Rise the spindle with the High Lift Transmission Jack to make the suspension arms parallel with the floor while threading the bolts to their specified torque settings.
