You need to start by taking off the hood latch and its pin-type retainers before placing the air deflector aside to reach the hood cable guide. Pull out both the hood cable guide together with all other remaining guides. Proceed by removing both the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and A-pillar lower trim panel and then loosen the nuts. Lower the hood latch release/park brake bracket from the vehicle while detaching the hood cable from the handle through cable conduit release followed by cable removal. Route the hood cable and dash panel grommet out from the vehicle front. The installer should carry out the procedures in reverse order to reinstall the components.
