How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on 2001 Ford Excursion?

In order to service the throttle cable, hold the accelerator pedal, disconnect the throttle cable to the pedal and shaft, and remove throttle body inlet duct. Unscrew the cable pushpin, loosen bolts and drag cable out. Turn the throttle body lever to unconnect the cable, and remove it. Inverse the installation.
