How to service and repair the automatic transmission shifter on 2002 Ford Escort?

In order to fix the automatic transmission shifter, take out the bezel and unplug electrical connectors. Removal of brake shift interlock actuator and gearshift lever cable nut, without kinking. Take off the gearshift lever and move the shift cable. Put back with Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA, in reverse order.
