To mend the water pump empty the cooling system, take out the fan, drive belt, and the pulley. Unscrew the pump, wash the surfaces and attach a new pump with appropriate type of coolant. Oil the O-ring, reconnect the pump, Reconnect the pulley, belt, fan and replace the system.
