How to Service the Accelerator Cable and Linkage on 2002 Lincoln Town Car?

To maintain the throttle cable, unscrew the lock to the battery ground, take off the accelerator peddle assembly and peel off the protective shell of the motor. Unscrew the drive cable/sensor assembly, and replace with another, being careful that they are aligned. Install accelerator assembly to replace and reconnect the battery. All assemblies that contain the memory option only provide a serviceable cable.
