How to service and repair the brake drum on 2002 Mercury Cougar?

In order to service the brake drum, approximately the wheel nuts have to be loosened, upraise the vehicle, and the wheel removed. Loose the brake shoe adjuster, and take out the drum, with retainers, should there be any. To install, change the drum and retainers, put the wheel back and adjust the brake pedal.
