How to service and repair the alternator on 2003 Ford Excursion?

When servicing the alternator, you should disconnect battery ground cable, loosen the tension of the belt and dismount the belt. Unscrew the wiring harness of the generator and take off the generator bracket. Relax the bottom bolts to remove the generator. To install, the battery positive cable nut has to be hand-started in reverse.
