How to service and repair the RH rear parking brake cable on 2003 Lincoln Navigator?

A service or repair of the RH rear parking brake cable requires the first step to be fully returning the braking cable tension to zero. From the rear of the vehicle a helper should gently draw down the front cable as you insert a pin that crosses the park brake control frame and cam. The air suspension switch in the RH kick panel area needs to be switched off before hoisting, jacking or towing vehicles with air suspension because unexpected air spring changes can move the vehicle. The RH rear cable needs to be disconnected from the cable union and the conduit must be freed from the equalizer by compressing the cable clip after raising the vehicle to its support position. Properly detach the RH rear cable from its retaining clip and take out the wireform bracket from the upper control arm. After pulling the retainer compress it to free the conduit while unclipping the cable end from the lever. Reverse the methods used to remove components during the installation.
