    A: Start the power-fold seat motor service procedure by checking that the safety belts are unfastened then clearing the way in front of the third row seats before using the backrest lowering process. The backrests of the third row seats need to be raised when performing seat removal. The service kits for the power-fold seat motor of the third row differ by including either just the motor and drive cable and attachment hardware or a complete set of motor, drive cable, bushings and attachment hardware. The service begins with taking out the rear load floor panel then the jack assembly and continuing with removal of the load floor panel latch striker bolts and latch. Start the process by eliminating the three pin-type retainers alongside the jack storage compartment liner and unfastening the two bolts secured to the mid-floor support. Lifting the front section of the mid-floor panel support reveals the retainer clips that you should remove before taking out the support panel. Raise the backrest through the service kit drive cable after checking that the motor is broken and the backrest rests in a downward position. When either the motor is stuck or the drive cable shows damage you should cut and get rid of the power seat drive cable followed by using the new drive cable to lift the seat backrest. First reverse the affected third row seat before reaching the bottom rivets for removal. You need to either drill or grind the rivets on order to extract the power-fold seat motor. The installation of the new power-fold motor requires precise alignment followed by correct positioning of the drive cable and sleeve before combined mounting. Before installation of the third row seat, technicians must install sleeves on the bolts and power-fold motor with washers before tightening all components to secure them.
