2003 Lincoln Town Car HVAC Control Module Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the HVAC control module on 2003 Lincoln Town Car?
A: Service of the HVAC control module starts with engine cooling system drainage. The visual harness connector along with vacuum hoses need removal from the evaporative emission canister purge valve (the EVAP canister purge valve has its own part number). You need to unpurchase the nut then free all nuts which hold the evaporative emission canister purge valve until you can disconnect it. The starting point includes clamps release followed by unconnecting heater hoses from the heater core until the heater hose can be removed after releasing its clamp. First remove the stud along with the nut then proceed to uninstall the blower motor speed control by taking out the screws and disconnecting the electrical connector before completely removing it. First clean all components before installing them by using plain water or coolant hose lubricant on the coolant system. Then fill the engine coolant until it reaches the recommended level.
