How to service and repair the alternator on 2004 Ford Crown Victoria?

In order to replace the alternator, unjoin the battery, unscrew engine cover and remove the intake resonator. Unscrew the accessory drive belt, and unscrew the generator electrical connectors. Pull the generator bracket bolts, loosen the bolts and remove the generator. Installation is in reverse sequence.
