How to service and repair the alternator on Ford Crown Victoria?

To maintain the alternator, disconnect the battery ground cable, remove the engine cover and disconnect the pushpins and wiring harness. Unscrew the bolts that hold the generator bracket in place, unscrew the electrical connections, and loosen the tension on the belt. Lastly, unscrew the generator bolts, lift the generator and vice versa.
