How to service and repair the windshield washer reservoir on 2004 Ford Excursion?

In order to service the windshield washer reservoir, take the battery tray out of the car and place the reservoir to the side. Unplug the electrical connector and remove the fluid in a container. Disassemble the washer pump and replace by following the reversal of the abovementioned steps keeping in mind that the reservoir must be filled prior to the electrical connection.
