How to service the thermostat for 4.6L and 5.4L engines on 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage?

To service the thermostat on the 4.6L and 5.4L engine, drain partially off the cooling system, remove upper radiator hose and take off the water outlet by removing the bolts. Install a new thermostat and O-ring, place the outlet back in, reconnect the hose and refill the cooling system.
