How to service the thermostat for the 4.6L (4V) engine on 2004 Mercury Marauder?

To service the thermostat of the 4.6L (4V) engine, drain the coolant, lift the vehicle and unscrew the coolant hose. Unscrew coolant outlet bolts and unscrew thermostat and O-ring. Check O-ring and change it where necessary. Substitute constant tension clamp with worm-style clamps and reverses the procedure of removing them.
