The procedure for antenna base removal begins with unscrewing the screws from the antenna base and lifting it to separate the radio antenna lead in cable. The next step requires removal of the fender splash shield by first unscrewing the screws and then taking out the pushpin. Insert the radio antenna lead in cable together with the grommet into the passenger compartment before removing the instrument panel finish panel and cowl side trim panel. Before removal of the radio chassis start by finding the radio antenna lead in cable and disconnecting the retainers from both the wiring harness and wiring harness trough.
