Service of the coolant reservoir begins with draining the cooling system until the degas bottle becomes empty. The service begins with takedown of the engine air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube. The procedure requires unclamping and hose separation from the degas bottle beginning with the upper hose then proceeding to the lower hose. First you need to remove the bolts securing the degas bottle before extracting it from its place. Tighten the bolts on the new degas bottle to reach 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) before reinstalling it using the reverse order of the removal steps.
