How to service the front Wheelhouse liner on 2005 Ford Explorer?

Before servicing the front fender the first step should be to remove the running board when a vehicle has color-keyed running boards. The first step includes removing the pushpins from the lower moulding and then unfastening the 14 pin-type retainers and 6 scrivets of the splash shield. After all components are removed proceed to uninstall the front splash shield and the front fender rear splash shield. The reverse procedure used during removal should be performed to finish installation.
